Are them 'copied' and occupy space on the ipad? I do not understand that it means that photos and videos are imported in the iPad.

I'm having trouble with the importing pictures wizard which I tend touse for simplicity and ease of use.In XP, I used to be able toselect which pictures I wanted to import from my camera card but now Icannot find how to do so and so I need to download all of themtogether meaning that I may need to run the wizard several times if Ihave different subjects on the one card and then go back to delete thephotos wrongly named.Second issue is that it will not closewithout forcing a closure from Taks Manager.Is it me or is it aprolem with 7?I'm currently running build 7100. When I attach my digitalcamera to my PC the Autoplay screen appears, so I choose the'Import pictures and videos using windows' option. Theproblem is that when I then try and click on 'Importsettings' absolutely nothing happens. It's strange as the'hand' appears when I hover over 'Import settings'but when I click this it simply doesn't work. Transfer Photos From Camera To Computer InstantlyI've been using Shotwell and though good, I just don't like it that Ican't create a new NAMED folder when I import. And I shoot almost onlyRAW files (big but I can adjust later if I made a white balance orexposure mistake when I shot the photo).So that said, I needsomething that's a good RAW editor for that end of things. UFRaw andGimp seem to work well together.But the main reason for thepost, I like to name a folder at each import. Is there a way to dothis? Or a good program that will allow a folder name upon import? Itseems like DigiKam kind of does this. What's That MeanBut it's slow and not reallywired for RAW. I'd almost like to just import the card and not real.
